ICMI was founded in the late 70's and has grown to become one of largest independent toner manufactures in the world today.

In 1992 ICMI was purchased by Nu-kote International, a leader in ribbon technology. In 1994 Nu-kote purchased the imaging product divisions of Pelikan, Inc. worldwide.

Through these acquisitions Nu-kote brought two leading independent toner manufacturers together. This consolidation makes ICMI very unique in the toner industry.

No other independent toner manufacturer has had the opportunity to combine expertise in color and black toner at all levels of the organization. This consolidation allowed combined cumulative technical and manufacturing expertise of over 150 years in the toner industry to unite.
